Qualification

How to Qualify:

Medical Career Specialists training and education programs are generally made available exclusively to those who have a background in the medical field. Accordingly, each of our training programs has specified program prerequisites. The exact guidelines can be found on the respective page of the program in which you are interested. Visit Programs and select your program of choice to read the full program details, prerequisite requirements, and other pertinent information related to that course.

Supplementary Compliance Overview

[This section is ONLY for those who do not meet the (General) Qualification Guidelines located to the right. If you meet those guidelines, please disregard this section. If not, continue reading to determine enrollment eligibility.]

Federal regulations require that students meet certain educational and practical standards to participate in fast-track accelerated medical training programs, such as those offered through Medical Career Specialists. The most simple and direct method of qualification is to meet one or more of the pre-approved (General) Qualification Guidelines. If you do not fall within those guidelines, you may still be eligible for program enrollment by way of a process known as Supplementary Compliance.

If you do not fit the above criteria, you  may  still be eligible to enroll by way of Supplementary Compliance, but will need to be pre-approved by the Education Director BEFORE registering. Supplementary Compliance Standards (SCS) requires additional training materials and supplies be administered in order to supplement that which is already included with our programs for the purpose of helping students meet program prerequisites. SCS also involves assurance of certification testing eligibility to enable students who would be otherwise non-compliant with qualification guidelines to test for certification and licensing upon program completion.

Supplementary Compliance materials may include, but not be limited to content involving: basic human anatomy and physiology, basic medical terminology, HIPAA compliance (including patients’ rights and privacy), infection control and the chain of infection, etc. These materials can be accessed directly via a student account through the Medical Career Specialists e-campus. It generally takes between 1-3 additional weeks of studying and preparation using the Supplementary Compliance materials in order for interested candidates to then qualify for enrollment in one of our standard programs.

The various educational programs offered through Medical Career Specialists have different levels of difficulty and thus require different levels of advanced preparation and varying prerequisites. Accordingly, the exact content of Supplementary Compliance materials will also vary, as it is determined based upon the professional background and skillset of each individual candidate, as well as the desired program of enrollment.

Contact us for further assistance to verify whether or not your current professional knowledge and skill-set, or post-secondary education will make this option available to you. Please note that there is a Supplementary Compliance fee that is required in addition to the standard program tuitions. Those fees are specified below. All candidates qualifying for enrollment by way of Supplementary Compliance must be granted approval to do so BEFORE enrolling. Contact us for assistance.

Supplementary Compliance Fees:
